A MATLAB GUI for Engineering Education for Undergraduate Laboratory Courses in India

In India, the National Education Policy (NEP) has brought a paradigm shift in the field of Engineering Education. Understanding the entire flow of the syllabus from the first to final year of any programme itself is a task for any citizen. The main focus of this work is to build a virtual tour of the syllabus flow for the under graduate engineering program. A GUI-based virtual tour is developed for the laboratory courses for a better understanding of the curriculum by the user. A database of laboratory manuals is generated that works with MATLAB software. For easy access of the laboratory manuals and to conduct experiments, a MATLAB GUI-based tool is created with satisfactory results. The qualitative approach is incorporated to display the results of experiments of the database. This work presents a mini encyclopaedia of Laboratory manuals of Electronics and Communication Engineering programme with instructions for checking any experiments that run on the MATLAB platform and facilitates easy understanding for the user.
