Quality of Service Optimization for Green Cognitive Radio Network: a Comparative Study of Flower Pollination and AHP-TOPSIS Algorithm

This paper aims to evaluate and contrast two algorithms designed to optimize quality of service within cognitive radio networks that rely on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technology. The first algorithm is based on flower pollination, while the second is based on TOPSIS and AHP to select the best available spectrum in terms of QoS and energy efficiency. Both algorithms propose optimization approaches for cognitive radio networks as an effective solution for “green networks”. The results obtainned with the flower pollination Algorithm are more accurate with better global convergence. On the other hand, using the AHP-TOPSIS algorithm provides less accurate solutions but in a reduced time.
