Experimental Evaluation Result of Preliminary Measurement for In-Situ Test Method in CISPR 37

Since 2018, IEC/CISPR SCB (International Special Committee on Radio Interference, Subcommittee B) has started developing an in-situ measurement method (CISPR 37) as a test method for large, high-power equipment that is difficult to measure at the conventional test site, such as semi anechoic chamber [1]. In the discussion, the appropriate method of determining the measurement points has become an important issue. For compliance testing, it is not easy to choose measurement points in a reference distance to obtain maximum radiated emissions.In this paper, we propose the application of preliminary measurement specified in CISPR 16-2-3 [2] to determine the final measurement points, and evaluated the effectiveness experimentally. It is different from the accurate prediction technique from the near field to the far field in the electromagnetic field theory.
