Application of Entire Domain Hyper Basis Functions Approach to Solution of EMC Problems

This paper aims to extend the previously proposed HBF-based MoM approach to analyze EMC problems. This approach uses the eigenfunctions of the generalized eigenvalue equation (GEE) obtained at only one frequency as entire domain hyper basis functions (HBFs) to find the desired solution to the boundary value problem in the broadband frequency range. This paper demonstrates the application of this approach to shielding effectiveness (SE) problems in perforated metallic enclosures, as well as to automotive EMC problems for EMC tests on a car model excited by an impressed current inside the car. The obtained results are verified by comparison with direct MoM results.
