Design of Headlight Power Electronic Supply for Automotive Applications

This paper deals with the development of control and power electronic circuits suited for the application for the LED headlight, including all required standardized light functions which are considered within the automotive applications. The main emphasis is placed on the design of power components and the description of a specific circuit solution. The work includes a practical measurement and performance evaluation of designed prototype of the system. The measurement includes verification of functionality for individual light modes and evaluation of the efficiency for the wide spectrum of supply voltage.
