Review the Recent IoT systems for Healthcare Applications

The Internet of Things (IoT) has played significant rule in the health care domain recently, from mentoring patients remotely to offering many remote alarm functions. In general, the IoT has been employed in the medical devices (blood pressure cuffs, glucose meter, and heart rate devices as examples) for the purpose of monitoring and recording the patient’s vital signs. This allows healthcare providers to remotely gather health information and then apply decision support rules, in order to allow early intervention in the treatment process. However, there are numerous issues in the healthcare delivery, technology development, role of government, and behaviour and the acceptance by medical doctors and hospitals. This paper presents a review of the emergence of the IoT technology in the health care applications, and investigates the impact of adopting IoT technology in the health care field. In addition, we surveyed, analyzed, and discussed the recent practical developed IoT-based healthcare systems. Moreover, this paper discusses and analyses the success of the recent developed IoT-based approaches in the domain of healthcare.
