Development of New Antenna Assembly for Georadar

Performance features of dipole antennas were considered and feasibility of structural parameter improvement was studied. The paper justifies the need to integrate mini-antenna (MA) and modified EH-antenna properties. It is proposed to use a composite ferromagnetic structure in the form of a round bar referring to the chiral environment class instead of an inductance coil. A new antenna assembly type for georadars was developed; the developed antenna assembly was based on the principle of functional integration of electric and magnetic dipoles. An antenna assembly architecture was proposed and its operating principle was considered. The proposed innovative variant of the antenna assembly represents an EH-antenna with a ferrite core, whose equivalent circuit can be presented by a series connected capacitor, inductance and radiation resistance of the EH-antenna forming a series-oscillating circuit.
