Features of the Composition and Methods for Estimating the Characteristics of Pressure Sensors Used in Ship Systems

Currently, automated systems for monitoring the parameters of ship systems are actively spread. Due to the great importance of obtaining reliable information, strict requirements are imposed on pressure sensors in terms of target metrological characteristics. The main normalized characteristics include the main and additional temperature measurement errors. It is also necessary to normalize the dynamic characteristics, which are decisive for the operation of sensors in automated systems. Methods for monitoring the metrological parameters of products are developed on the a priori information obtained during the design tests of sensors, as well as the required accuracy of measurements in static and dynamic modes. Evaluation of the dynamic characteristics of pressure sensors is associated with the following difficulties. Firstly, the dynamic characteristics are often not standardized by the manufacturers of diesel engines, and secondly, there is no universal test equipment for reproducing dynamic effects on diesel engines. For this reason, specialized test benches are being created to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of pressure sensors. Due to the increased accuracy requirements for pressure sensors for ship systems, including in dynamic mode, as well as the emergence of new types of sensors (for example, based on fiber optics), it was necessary to develop new methods for assessing the characteristics of pressure sensors. The report presents methods for monitoring both the main metrological characteristics of pressure sensors and additional ones, as well as the features of their application. Particular attention is paid to methods and tools for assessing the dynamic characteristics of pressure sensors.
