Statistical Analysis of Accelerations in Car Movement

Electronic relays in automotive security systems often include a motion sensor. Its presence makes it possible to implement new anti-theft algorithms, in which the relay independently makes a decision to stop the engine at the start of movement if there is an absence of a permissive signal from the security system. Cost restrictions on the implementation of electronic relays do not allow the use of expensive navigation chips in their composition. Most often, the motion sensor function is performed by a MEMS accelerometer. The article presents a statistical analysis of car acceleration signals in motion and at stops by processing the signal of a 3-axis accelerometer. A set of informative statistical parameters has been established that can be used as the basis for classification algorithms for states of movement or rest.
