The Use Orthogonal Sequences in Order to Improve the Quality of Data Transmission over an Optical Communication Channel

With the development of technologies, it became possible to use difficult complexes and entire networks of unmanned underwater vehicles for researching the seas and oceans. At the same time, the quality and efficiency issue of data transmission between the components of these networks is still acute. Hydroacoustic and optical channels are singled out as optimal data transmission channels under the water, but it has its drawbacks: reverberation, an interference abundance and so on. That’s why this article pays attention to improving properties of noise immunity and data transmission speed over a wireless optical communication channel by dint of the expansion of the data volume by orthogonal sequences. The simulation results of the algorithms work for different levels of encrypted data damage were received. The article will be useful in the concept implementation of the underwater Internet of Things, which may include optical data transmission modules.
