Direct Time Domain Calculation of Near Field Generated by a Straight Thin Wire in Free Space

The paper deals with a direct time domain calculation of the electric field in the close vicinity of a straight thin wire antenna. Integral equation formulation is based on the space-time Hallen integral equation, while the electric field is governed by corresponding integral expressions. The numerical procedures stem from Galerkin-Bubnov boundary element formalism. Some illustrative numerical results are given in the paper.
