Research and Application of Power Wireless Private Network in Communication Hybrid Networking of Distribution Grid

The part of existing the distribution grid communication adopts optical fiber and switches to form a distribution grid optical fiber communication network. Due to factors such as investment, optical cable corridor, and distribution grid planning, the current distribution grid optical fiber communication network is mainly based on a radial star structure. The network cannot operate in a ring, and there are risks in single-link operation. Therefore, it is considered to use power wireless private network as a supplement to the fiber optic link to achieve “ring supplementation” and realize the operation of distribution grid switches in a ring. This article first analyzes the deficiencies of the current distribution grid communication architecture, studies the key technologies of power wireless private network, proposes a new architecture that combines power optic fiber network and power wireless private network for network deployment. Then, a network testing environment is established, and the test results show that the network's bandwidth, delay, throughput, anti-interference capability, and other indicators all meet the requirements of distribution network business, significantly improving the risk resistance capability of the distribution grid communication network.
