Research and Practice on Computing Performance Measurement Methods for Processors

The current status and existing problems of processor computing performance evaluation benchmarks were discussed in this article. A user-oriented processor computing performance measurement method was proposed to improve the accuracy of performance data by reducing the impact of measurement noise. Based on this method, a general-purpose Geodetic datum tool for CPU computing performance independent of instruction architecture is designed and implemented, and it is tested by top-down analysis and principal component analysis. The experimental results show that the data measured using the method proposed in this article can better reflect the computational performance of the processor in actual application states. The CPU computing performance Geodetic datum tool developed in this paper can be used as a new choice for CPU computing performance evaluation.
