Dynamic Performance Assessment Technique of Satellite Star Sensor Using In-Orbit Data

Star sensor is an important attitude measurement instrument of spacecraft. The dynamic performance is an indicator to assess the ability of star sensor to track the star stably and export the attitude accurately. However, few studies have assessed the in-orbit dynamic performance of star sensor in China presently. This paper analyzed the satellite star sensor in-orbit performance assessment index system, designed the corresponding assessment method, and carried out the assessment and verification based on the actual in-orbit data on the evaluate system of satellite in-orbit data, which shows that the assessment model designed in this paper can effectively assess the in-orbit dynamic performance of star sensors. The study of the evaluation of the star sensor in-orbit performance can also provide idea for the in-orbit performance evaluation of other satellite sensors or actuators, and support the long-term management or the test and evaluation of satellite in orbit.
