Analysis of Various Resonant Coil Configurations for L-G Fault

In this study, resonance grounding failures in power systems are mathematically simulated using the resonant grounding concept. This is done to improve the management of power system grounding fault conditions. MATLAB/SIMULINK tool is used to simulate the environment, the various resonant grounding configurations, and the L-G fault. The findings demonstrate that the zero-sequence current is present at all points of the power system during a grounding failure. Circuit has a place where the zero-sequence current has the greatest amplitude, then the fault phases are all that are present. The simulation findings also show that, in the case of a single-phase grounding failure, grounding an arc suppression coil can immediately reduce the grounding current. Additionally, it successfully removes the arc from the procedure and switches to the more sensible grounding method. Various configurations of the resonant coil are simulated and the results are tabulated. Necessary graphs and the subsequent analysis of the different configurations is done.
