Dynamic Interaction Effects for One-Periodic Array of Rigid Disc-Shaped Inclusions in 3D Elastic Matrix

An explanation is provided for the boundary integral formulation of 3D problems involving the incidence of normal time-harmonic longitudinal waves on a single-periodic array of coplanar rigid disc-shaped inclusions. The translation of the inclusions as rigid units and the dynamic stress intensity factor in the inclusion vicinities, specifically in mode-II, are computed and analyzed based on variations in the wave number, periodic distance, and mass of the constituent inclusions.
