Scattering of Elastic P/SV-Waves by an Elastic Fiber with Thin Interphase Layer

The scattering of elastic waves by the fiber contained in the matrix with the presence of an interfacial layer of variable thickness has been investigated. The elastic system is in dynamic plane deformation conditions. The thickness of the interlayer is small compared to the characteristic fiber size and the wavelengths propagating in the composite. The research algorithm is based on asymptotic modelling of the interaction of thin heterogeneity with surrounding bodies and the null-field method for solving the scattering problem. The influence of the mechanical and geometric parameters of the composite on the amplitude characteristics of P/SV-waves in the far wave zone, scattered by the fibrous non-canonical forms, was analyzed.
