Artificial intelligence and the legal profession

Artificial intelligence (AI) is causing disruptions in nearly every industry and profession, some more quickly and profoundly than others. In contrast to the industrial revolution, which automated physical labor and replaced muscles with hydraulic pistons and diesel engines, the AI-powered revolution is automating mental tasks. While it could be simply streaming a few common positions, simulated intelligence is achieving a more major change to many middle-class jobs that were recently thought to be protected from mechanization. Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used to transform various professions, such as those law, accounting, and IT. It is being used to replace human employees in some cases, and it is also being used to affect the regulation of certain industries. Although it is unlikely that lawyers will be replaced immediately, AI is being used to help them find relevant documents and perform other tasks. In addition, it is being used to help in the drafting of contracts and predict the outcomes of judicial proceedings. AI has been utilized to help with the drafting of contracts, predict legal consequences, and suggest judicial decisions on bail or sentencing.
