A Laser Galvo System for Human-Robot Collaboration

This study proposes an optical projection-assisted system composed of a camera and a laser scanner mirror to meet the complex and diverse demands of the manufacturing industry. The camera identifies real-world targets, while the laser scanner mirror projects laser light to mark the targets, aiding in target identification. The physical model of the laser scanner mirror is analyzed in this study, and a least squares method is used to calibrate the relationship between the camera and the mirror. The contribution of this study lies in presenting a simple and fast calibration method for the camera and mirror, as well as analyzing the sources of system error. The average calibration error is 4.80 pixels.
