Improved Model Predictive Current Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Based on Duty Ratio Modulation

In the control strategy of permanent magnet synchronous motor, model predictive control has received widespread attention due to its simple principle and ease of handling multiple control objectives. In response to the problem that the traditional duty ratio model predictive current control method requires traversing six candidate voltage vectors resulting in a large amount of calculation, and the duty ratio link cannot fully play its role, an improved duty ratio model predictive current control method is proposed. Firstly, the sector where the expected voltage vector is located is determined, and two basic voltage vectors in the sector are selected as candidate voltage vectors, reducing the number of candidate voltage vectors. At the same time, a new optimization rule is designed to replace the value function, solving the problem that the duty ratio link is difficult to play its role. Simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively reduce the fluctuation of the stator current of the motor while reducing the calculation amount.
