A new Mutual Inductive Superposition Coils and Its Control Strategy for Constant Voltage of On-road EVs

Electric vehicles are charged by dynamic wireless charging technology while driving. When the electric vehicle is running on the road, the relative displacement between the transmitting and receiving coils causes the coupling coefficient between the coils to change, resulting in low charging efficiency. In order to achieve stable charging of electric vehicles during driving, a new stacked launch coils based on the mutual inductance superposition effect is proposed and a control strategy to stabilize the charging voltage is proposed. Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages of several different shapes of conventional wireless charging coils are analyzed. Second, the advantages and disadvantages of these coils are summarized. Finally, a new stacked launch coils and its control strategy are designed by combining these advantages and disadvantages and the mutual inductance superposition effect.
