Predicting Stock Prices with Machine Learning and Virtual Stock Market Game

This research study has proposed a cutting-edge stock trading simulator that allows users to experience the thrill of investing in the stock market using virtual currency. With an intuitive interface, users can easily learn how to buy and sell stocks, manage their portfolio, and make informed investment decisions in a risk-free environment. The virtual currency system ensures that users can practice and hone their trading skills without risking real money. The simulator also provides users with real-time market data, educational resources, and tools to help them achieve their investment goals. The main aim of this research study is to gamify and induce collaboration with friends in a dedicated room and check their relative competence. Users can make use of prediction models for investing purposes which have been trained using the LSTM algorithm. It has been thoroughly tested using various prediction algorithms like LSTM algorithm, Gradient Boosting regression, Random Forest Regression etc. After comparison, LSTM outperformed other algorithms and proved to be efficient for stock price predictions.
