Microcontroller Based Automatic Saree Folding Machine

Today's population follows a strict routine in their everyday lives. Despite gender inequality, household chorus has been a hardship for many. The section of the chorus that is concerned with laundry is among the ones that takes the most time and effort. Depending on the amount of clothing and the number of people living in a home, this task may be challenging and even stressful for some people. An automatic, motor-driven saree folding machine is called the Easy Saree Folding Machine. The project's goal is to fold a saree by simply pressing a button. The saree must be placed on the folding tray of the fully automatic machine before pressing the button. The saree will then fold by itself. To regulate the motion of the folding component in this system, four stepper motors are used. Typically, a person folds their garments using the traditional manner, which involves hand folding. There are numerous issues that working women typically have while trying to manage their time for household duties. This project aims to present a simple, fully automatic saree folding device. In the suggested system, a Wiper motor rotates and regulates the folding motion in accordance with a microcontroller program. The folding process' entire motion is managed by the microcontroller. According to the results obtained, the proposed method can significantly minimize the amount of time spent to manually fold the clothes.
