An IoT Based Mitigation of Occupational Dust Risks in Glass Manufacturing Plants

The production of glass in the industrial setting can have both positive and negative impacts on people, with occupational dust posing a significant health risk to workers. This research study proposes an Internet of Things (IoT) based solution for mitigating occupational dust risks in glass manufacturing plants. The solution integrates various sensors, including temperature, gas, pressure, optical, and vibration sensors, to monitor the working environment in real-time and alert workers and management of any potential safety hazards. The data collected from these sensors is analyzed using advanced algorithms to optimize the glass production process and reduce waste. The solution also helps to improve worker safety by reducing exposure to occupational dust and other harmful substances. Results from the study show that the proposed IoT solution has the potential to significantly reduce occupational dust risks in glass manufacturing plants, while also improving the efficiency and sustainability of the production process. This study highlights the importance of incorporating IoT technologies in the glass industry to promote a safe and sustainable working environment.
