IoT Based Multi-Level Remote Controlled Security System

Ensuring home security has always been a significant concern for people, and numerous methods have been attempted to tackle this issue. However, these methods have had their limitations. To address these shortcomings, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been used. Home automation allows for the automatic control of various household activities using technology to handle tasks that would otherwise require manual intervention. These activities range from detecting intruders in the middle of the night to performing everyday tasks. The IoT Hardware involved here is ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, GSM module and PIC 16F887. ESP8266 module can be used to access the internet via Wi-Fi. GSM module is used to receive calls if there are any suspicious activities. In this module the necessary code is written and loaded onto the PIC with the help of MPLAB. Back control can be done using Adafruit io which is a cloud service. IR sensors are essential to the working of the system. These IR sensors are placed in different homes which are then connected to a single microcontroller and upon receiving any signals from the IR sensor, the system intimates the respective owner in case of home being theft and the required action will be taken by the house owner with help of ESP8266 and Adafruit software.
