Total Dose and SEE Testing of the ISL73847SEH Single/Dual Phase Current Mode PWM Controller

We report the results of total ionizing dose (TID) testing and single-event effects (SEE) testing carried out by Renesas Electronics America ('Renesas') on the ISL 73847SEH current mode pulse width modulator (PWM) controller. The part is a synchronous buck controller that can operate in either single or dual phase mode. It is intended to work with the ISL 73041SEH half bridge gallium nitride (GaN) FET driver and two GaN power stages for point of load (POL) converters used in space applications. The tests were carried out as a part of baseline total dose and SEE hardness verification performed during part development. The part is implemented in a 0.25 micrometer bulk BiCMOS process.
