Near field positioning system based on anisotropic magneto resistive sensor for knee prosthesis

In this work, we present a near field magnetic system for knee orthopedic prosthesis positioning operating in LF band (100 kHz). The system can be used for every type of knee prosthesis provided they are made of metal. The current system made of a single emitting coil and three anisotropic magneto-resistive sensors allows to detect the femoral shield and is validated by practical measurement and simulations.
