A Study of Stable Levitation Conditions Considering Propulsion of a Carrier in the Magnetically Levitated Conveyance System Using the Linear Stepper Motor

The magnetically levitated conveyance system has been developed. The purpose of this study is to levitate and thrust with the same system. In the conventional system, the carrier did not levitate stably because of large fluctuations in mutual inductance between the track (primary) part and carrier (secondary) part caused by gap fluctuations of the carrier. In this study, the optimal gap and the primary and secondary current values are obtained. As results of experiments, stable levitation is achieved considering the propulsive motion. The minimum attractive force that the carrier levitates stably is examined. In the previous study, the carrier did not levitate because of pitching. Therefore, the difference in the attractive force to suppress pitching is examined.
