Research and Verification of New Multicast BIER IPv6 Technology in IP Network

With the rapid development of network technology and business, video services represented by live streaming, ultra-clear TV and online education are becoming increasingly popular. However, traditional multicast has the limitations of large-scale application and fault convergence, which brings users problems such as slow response, unclear pictures, and poor viewing. Therefore, in view of many problems existing in traditional multicast technology, The IP network urgently needs to introduce new multicast technology to meet user needs. This paper first explores and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the new multicast technology of BIER IPv6 that has not been unified in the current industry, and then develops the overall deployment solution of BIER IPv6 based on the BIERv6 encapsulation technology. Finally, the hybrid networking verification test is carried out in the laboratory for the technical solution, which verifies the feasibility of the commercial deployment of the new multicast BIERv6 technology in the current network of China Telecom.
