Construction of Ambulatory Monitoring System of Urban Land Use Based on GIS and Remote Sensing Technology

The rational use of land is directly related to the political stability and the sustainable growth of social economy, resources and environment in China. This paper proposes a land use database updating method based on geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) technology to realize the ambulatory monitoring of land use. By comparing and analyzing the types of urban land use in different periods, this paper evaluates the changes of land use, provides timely, accurate, effective and authoritative land use information for the local supervision and law enforcement departments, and also provides necessary information services for the society and the public. The results show that after many iterations, the accuracy of this method is obviously superior to that of the comparison algorithm in ambulatory monitoring of urban land use. With the support of RS technology and GIS technology, the established land use ambulatory monitoring system can quickly, accurately and economically obtain land use change information and provide decision support for regional harmonious growth.
