A Microstrip Line-fed Slot Antenna with Inverted L-Shaped Stub for Application in Communication Systems

A microstrip line fed antenna with modified slotted characteristics with two stubs having inverted L-shape are symmetrically emerged from top right and left corners of the rectangular slotted section is designed in this paper. The designed antenna which is demonstrated here has the size of 32x40 mm2, which produces two resonance bands from 1.92 GHz to 4.23 GHz with 75.12 percentage bandwidth and from 5.33 to 6.17 GHz with 14.60 percentage bandwidth with the approximate central frequencies of 2.26 and 5.82 GHz respectively, which are the utilizing WLAN system of bands. The simulated gains of peak in nature of two bands of resonance are 2.45 and 2.65 dBi. The proposed designed antenna exhibited radiation patterns (RP) and gain of stable and nature of appropriateness.
