Assessment of Adulteration from Food Products using ASD Field Spec4

Food adulteration is ubiquitous all across the world, especially in market foods and daily necessities. There were numerous techniques for food adulteration according to earlier investigations. Due to its multiple advantages near-infrared spectroscopic techniques are widely used in this field. To construct a Spectrum library of food samples, we used an (Analytical spectral device) ASD Field Spec4 Spectroradiometer with a large spectral range (350-2500nm) and its associated software. The main goal of this study is to identify harmful elements in food using the ASD FieldSpec4 device and VIS-NIR spectroscopy. The spectral signature of food samples from a variety of food products available on the market is captured using the ASDFieldSpec4 Spectroradiometer. Food adulteration or food fraud is a financially motivated method of endangering public health. In this paper, the non-destructive detection of hazardous material from food based on near-infrared spectroscopy was examined. The spectra data between the wavelengths of 350nm and 2150nm were analyzed using the principal component analysis (PCA) method.
