An Approach of Cable Sheath Bonding for Critical Airport Application

Single-point bonding is a commonly used cable sheath technique as it possesses high cable ampacity. This bonding scheme is associated with a grounding continuity conductor. This in turn contributes to significant cost while implementing the setup. This paper proposes a 66kV sheath bonding scheme that is deployed on a real-time critical airport application. This proposed scheme has optimal maximum voltage induced at sheath which was grounded using sheath voltage limits (SVL) at proper interval which contributes in realizing a stable system.
