A Superior Boost Active-Switched Impedance Network Quasi Z-Source Inverter

In these modern days, the inspiration is all about the safeguarding of conservative sources besides increasing the usage of the renewable energy source conversion. The old-style inverters like the voltage source inverter (VSI) and current source inverter (CSI) have a limitation of the buck or boost in the output. These limitations are overcome through the impedance (Z) source inverter (ZSI) in the earlier times. Various topological developments were introduced since then like qZSI, SL-ZSI/qZSI, ASC-ZSI/qZSI etc. This Z-source network is applied in each and every energy conversion system (like AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC). The evolution of these topologies is due to the boost factor improvement and voltage gain enhancement which indulges to reduction in multiple stage conversion and economical correlation of the converter circuits. One such topology is introduced in this project. This brief proposes two superior boost active switched impedance quasi-Z source inverter topologies, in which the acquired boost factor is nearly equal to 2/(2(1 − D)

−1). The D represents the duty ratio of the inverter switches and range of the duty ratio is in the limit of 0 < D < 0.206. The boost factor of the proposed topologies is also increased when compared with the conventional topologies proposed ever since. For the same number of components, the voltage stresses across the capacitors, inverter bridge is reduced in the first topology rather than the second topology. The theoretical and Simulink verification are also illustrated in the brief.
