Hot Spots, Frontiers and Trends of International EDM/LA Research

The international literature related to EDM/LA is analyzed to explore the development history, research hotspots, and frontiers in EDM/LA and to provide references for future research. ‘Using the bibliometric analysis of literature co-citation, keyword co-occurrence, and keyword emergence, the international research history and development trend in EDM/LA from 2013–2023 is analyzed using the relevant literature in the Web of Science core database. The research in the field of EDM/LA has received wide attention from scholars at home and abroad. The United States has issued the most significant number of articles, accounting for 23.76^% of the global The co-occurrence mapping analysis of EDM/LA shows that the knowledge clusters in this field are main center on learning analytics, with other keywords spreading outward around it. Educational data mining is the next node, and the thickest line between them indicates the closest relationship. The analysis reveals that the parsing of big educational data, the exploration of standard methods of EDM/LA, the application of EDM/LA in higher education, and the classification research of EDM/LA are the hot spots in this field; in addition, the future research directions are obtaining in conjunction with the development of today's technology. In short, promoting the formation of a multidisciplinary and multidisciplinary cross-integration development model is of great significance to developing the EDM/LA field. The research related to the EDM/LA field is still in the development stage and needs to focus on the depth of research.
