An Internet Based 5-Layer Framework for Logistics in the Greater Bay Area

Logistics provides the foundation for manufacturing, retail and trade and is now an important engine of economic growth. As one of the three core economic zones in China, the logistics industry in the Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has also been proven to show a clear positive relationship of mutual stimulation with its regional economic development. In order to promote the upgrading and iteration of the logistics industry and inspired by the concept of Cyber Physical Internet, this paper proposes a logistics framework based on the five-layer model of the Internet (TCP/IP model). The framework facilitates the integration of new technologies, the control of routing policies and the introduction of new features. Of course the framework also faces challenges such as information sharing, unified standards and logistics network trust and other issues.
