All-optical biasing and readout of a superconducting single photon detector

We demonstrate all-optical operation of an SNSPD. Using only cryogenic optoelectronic components and optical interconnects, we operate the SNSPD electrically decoupled from room temperature electronics and with a heatload of 75μW at 1K.
