Coherent PON interconnect system with phase compensation

Bandwidth requirements of passive optical network (PON) Single-wavelength optical fiber access transmission is actively seeking technological breakthroughs, so that the bandwidth is not limited by signal modulation and optical device bandwidth. With the high-speed passive optical network (HSP) standard, a single wavelength can reach a rate of 50Gbps through NRZ modulation [1]. In order to improve bandwidth density and system performance, the attention of coherent PON technology has been greatly increased. This paper proposes an optical network unit (ONU)-to-ONU information interaction architecture and use phase compensation technique to eliminate phase noise. This system can increase system bandwidth and performance. In addition, real-time edge computing can further achieve the effect of low latency.
