Bandwidth Factor Computation Framework for Traffic Routing in 5G Networks

This paper presents a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) framework that enables resilient traffic routing in 5G networks to support Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB). The proposed framework uses telemetry to collect network topology information, which is then used to calculate service paths and enable on-demand traffic routing in response to network conditions. Additionally, the framework utilizes the SR-Policy technique to dispatch directives to network equipment. It consists of four basic modules that allow users to obtain and dispatch a specified path that meets the required bandwidth constraint. Experiments demonstrate that the framework can support traffic engineering based on real-time traffic information and can also rearrange paths when necessary.
