A Study of an Innovative Weighted Independent Principal Component Analysis Algorithm

In order to optimize the original independent principal component method, this paper demonstrates a innovative method of weighted independent principal component analysis. It is applied to the SSE 50 index where the returns of 50-index portfolios are decomposed into statistically independent components. These independent principal components are weighted to obtain the original price series, which is used to analyze and predict the price trend.
