A Design of DC-DC and Short-circuit Protection Scheme for Servo Drives

In recent years, the application scale of servo drives has grown rapidly, and the demand for servo drives is increasing day by day. The existing servo driver power supply usually adopts a design of first reducing voltage and then increasing voltage, resulting in poor power supply stability; At the same time, the trigger delay time of short-circuit protection is relatively long. Based on the above situation, this paper proposes a design scheme for DC-DC and short-circuit protection of servo drivers. Through prototype experiments, it has been verified that the fluctuation of the first DC-DC power is 440mV, and the triggering delay time of short-circuit protection is 800ns, which can effectively improve the reliability of the servo driver's operation.
