Application of Differential Evolution Algorithm in the Identification of Hydrodynamic Coefficients of Vehicles

Considering that the underwater vehicle needs to accurately estimate the hydrodynamic parameters, a differential evolution algorithm is proposed to identify it. Using the longitudinal motion equation of underwater vehicle as the system model, the longitudinal hydrodynamic parameters are identified by using the experimental observation data, and the identifiability of the parameters is analyzed according to the sensitivity. Simulation results show that this method has the characteristics of fast convergence speed and high identification accuracy, and can effectively solve practical problems.
