Planning for Integrated Energy System Considering Dynamic Characteristics of Devices and Reliability

Integrated energy systems can improve the efficiency of energy utilization and facilitate the integration of renewables. Recognizing that planning optimization and operation optimization are mutually inseparable in the integrated energy system, the present study establishes a two-stage optimization model for an integrated energy system with dynamic device models for involving the dynamic characteristics of the key devices as well as the economics and reliability aspects. The case study results demonstrate that the storage device can improve the reliability of the system. Moreover, by considering the reliability constraint, the system investment cost can be reduced and the system operation flexibility can be improved.
