Strength Calculation and Analysis of Diesel Engine Base Based on Finite Element Method

Aiming at the structure of marine diesel engine base, an accurate finite element model of the whole diesel engine base is established by using the finite element method and the structural element model. The static analysis and modal analysis of the spatial structure are carried out by using the large-scale general finite element analysis software. It is theoretically verified that the stress of this base after adding the weight of 74t diesel engine is less than the allowable stress of steel. The research results can provide basis and reference for the strength check of marine base and other types of large special steel structures.
