Conductor Galloping Forecasting via Meterological Data

Conductor galloping may cause electric and mechanical damage to overhead transmission lines. With the aim of dealing the galloping issue in advance, it is necessary to develop a method to forecast the galloping behavior of conductors. In this paper, the threshold for identification of galloping days, as well as the duration of potential galloping weather conditions are employed to predict the servility of power grid. Finally, the galloping event happened in Jilin province, China in Nov. 2020 has been forecasted successfully.
