Research on Trading Mechanism for Peak Shaving and Ancillary Services Market in Virtual Power Plants Based on Blockchain Technology

With the rapid growth of renewable energy and the advancement of energy transition, the traditional centralized peak shaving and ancillary service market trading mechanism can no longer meet the demands of transaction matching and coordination issues brought about by the volatility of new energy. In order to address this challenge, this study proposes a transaction mechanism for virtual power plants to participate in the peak shaving and ancillary service market based on blockchain technology. Firstly, a combined bidirectional auction model is constructed, which can cater to the peak shaving needs of different buyers. Through smart contracts, the model enables automated transaction matching and settlement processes. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed transaction mechanism is verified through case studies.
