Flexible Active-Matrix Photo-Sensing Array Based on Solution-Processed Organic Thin-Film Transistors

A flexible active-matrix photo-sensing array is proposed in which both switching and optical sensing function are achieved by solution-processed organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). Both the switch OTFTs and organic phototransistors (OPT) possess stable electric performance in bending state, and the OPT shows an ultra-high optical sensitivity (> 10
⁵
) under 20
$\boldsymbol{\mu} \mathbf{W}/\mathbf{cm}^{2}$
illumination. A flexible active-matrix photo-sensing array of
$\mathbf{100}\times \mathbf{100}$
pixels (127 ppi) is implemented based on such all OTFT-based integration structure, and demonstrated for fingerprint imaging.
