Protection System to Improve the Resistance of Grounding in the Telephony Base Stations Viettel Perú SAC

It was investigated through an experimental design; the objective is the implementation of the protection system to improve the grounding resistance in the Base Stations of the Viettel Peru SAC Company in the city of Puno. The sample consisted of 30 Base Stations. The following instruments were used: measurement protocols, Excel spreadsheets, a digital Tellurometer - Megabras MTD-20 kWe. The results indicate that the implementation of the protection system improves the grounding resistance, achieving an average reduction of 41.51 Ohm to 4.63 Ohm after the improvement. Through the Wenner method, the values of the apparent resistivity of the ground adjacent to the base stations were obtained according to the Standard Std.80-2000. The equivalent resistivity was determined by the method of characteristic curves that are necessary for the modeling of the grounding system. The grounding resistance in the base stations was measured and calculated after the improvement, showing that there is no significant difference by means of the stundent t-test for independent samples.
