Experimental Tension Spring Stiffness Measuring Device

In this paper, a novel mechatronic device is introduced for determining the stiffness constant of basic steel tension springs. The device incorporates two measurement principles: quasi-static and dynamic methods. Built on the Arduino Mega platform, the device is equipped with a touch-sensitive display for measurement control and visualization. An assessment of the performance and measurement precision of the system is conducted on a sample of steel tension springs.
