Design of Microstrip Patch Antenna in Octagonal Shape with Triple Band for 5G Mobile Applications

A microstrip octagonal patch antenna is constructed and modeled in this study to produce frequency bands of 0.9 GHz (WiMAX), 2.7 GHz (WLAN), and 4 GHz (Wi-Fi) that are appropriate for 5G technology. The operating frequency is obtained for less than -10 dB gain. The proposed antenna is designed in a FR4 (Flame Retardant and type 4) substrate which as a relative permittivity of 4.4. The microstrip antenna is designed with octagonal slot which is tested for S-Parameter, Power, Energy, Efficiency and VSWR. There are many simulation tools like IE3D, FEKO, CST, MWS, HFSS, MAGUS are present. The simulation tool CST (Computer Simulation Technology) is used for the study and stimulation of proposed antenna.
